Privacy Policy

NexZay ("NexZay", "we", "us", or "our") operates the NexZay mobile application (the "App"), a community marketplace for people in Myanmar to list, browse, and connect about items, vehicles, property, jobs, and services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your phone number (used for one-time password / OTP verification) and/or your email address, along with a display name and any profile details you choose to provide, such as a profile photo.

Listings and content you create

We collect the information you submit when you post a listing or profile — for example titles, descriptions, prices, categories, the city or area of the item, and photos you upload. Anything you post in a listing is visible to other users of the App.

Messages

When you contact another user through in-app chat, we store the messages so they can be delivered and shown in your conversations.

Location information

With your permission, the App accesses your device's approximate or precise location to show you listings near you and to suggest your city when you create a listing. You can allow or deny this when prompted, and you can change the permission at any time in your device settings. If you deny location access, the App still works — it simply shows listings from all of Myanmar instead of prioritizing your area.

Photos and camera

With your permission, the App accesses your camera and photo library so you can add images to your listings and profile. We only use the photos you choose to upload.

Premium subscriptions

If you upgrade to a premium plan (such as Basic Premium or Business), we record your plan type, subscription status, and expiry date so we can provide the features of your plan.

Device and usage information

To keep the App working and improve it, we may collect basic technical information such as device type, app version, a push-notification token, and limited diagnostic data. We may also record items you view or search within the App to show you more relevant listings and recommendations.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and verify it by OTP.
• To display your listings and profile to other users.
• To enable chat between buyers and sellers.
• To show listings near your location and suggest your city.
• To personalize your home feed, search results, and recommendations.
• To send notifications you have enabled (such as new messages or listing updates).
• To provide and manage premium plan features.
• To keep the App secure, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.

How Information Is Shared

With other users

Your listings, profile name and photo, and the messages you send are shared with the other users you interact with. Please avoid putting sensitive personal information in public listings.

With service providers

We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Messaging) to run the App, and Google Maps and Google Play services for location and app functionality. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. See Google's Privacy Policy.

For legal reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of NexZay, our users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal information, except where we must keep certain records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

Your Choices and Rights

• You can edit your profile and listings at any time in the App.
• You can control location, camera, photo, and notification permissions in your device settings.
• You can request to access or delete your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.

Security

We use industry-standard measures provided by Google Firebase to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

NexZay is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
